Nightlight Terms of Use

Effective date: October 22, 2026

These terms cover your use of Nightlight, an iOS app from GOACTO LLC ("GOACTO", "we", "us"). Nightlight lets parents record bedtime stories and book readings for their kids to play back. By using the app, you agree to these terms. Our store Terms of Service and the Nightlight Privacy Policy also apply.

Who can use Nightlight

Nightlight is for adults. You must be at least the age of majority where you live. Kids can listen to recordings you make for them, with your permission and under your supervision.

Your recordings

  • Your recordings belong to you. They are stored on your device, and we don't receive them.
  • You are responsible for what you record and for keeping your own copies. Nightlight v1 has no cloud backup, so if you delete a recording or the app, or lose your device, we can't restore it.
  • Recordings of books are for your family's personal, private use. Please don't use Nightlight to share or sell recordings of other people's books.

Using the app

  • Use Nightlight only for lawful purposes.
  • Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
  • Nightlight, its name, design and content (other than your recordings) belong to GOACTO LLC.

App Store

If you get Nightlight from Apple's App Store, Apple's App Store terms also apply. Apple is not responsible for Nightlight or for support.

No warranty

We work to keep Nightlight reliable, but the app is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that recordings can't be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, GOACTO LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using or not being able to use Nightlight, including lost recordings.

Ending use

You can stop using Nightlight at any time by deleting the app. We may update, change or stop offering the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. Continuing to use Nightlight after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, as in our store Terms of Service.
