GOACTO Kids
GOACTO Kids · For parents and carers
When a block tower falls, a lot of kids want to quit. Bo did, too.
A gentle cartoon that teaches one small idea at a time
GOACTO Kids is our YouTube channel for kids ages 5 to 9. It's home to Grow and Give with Bo. This page is for you, the grown-up, so you know what your child will watch.
What the show is
Bo is a little green sprout. Kiki is a round amber bird and Bo's friend. Each episode is 2 to 3 minutes long and teaches one small idea. It always goes the same way.
Bo tries it the old way, and it goes wrong.
Kiki shows Bo a new way to think about it.
Your child gets 3 or 4 easy steps, then one small thing to try at home with you.
The same shape each time helps kids know what's coming. It's short enough to watch together and talk about after.
Episode 1: “Try Again!”
Bo wants to build the tallest block tower ever. It falls. Bo stomps and says, “I'm bad at this. I quit!” and walks away. That's the old way.
Then Kiki flies by and says, “A mistake isn't the end. It's a clue!” Bo looks closely. The big blocks were on top. So Bo tries again with the big blocks on the bottom, and the tower stands up tall.
Then your child learns four steps:
- Stop. Take a big, slow breath.
- Look. Find the clue. What happened?
- Change. Change one small thing.
- Try! Try again. If it still doesn't work, find the next clue.
Stop. Look. Change. Try!
Try it at home together
Every episode ends with one small thing to try. You don't need anything special. You just need to be there to listen.
After Episode 1
Ask your child to think of one thing that felt tricky today, like a puzzle, a drawing or tying shoes. They try it one more time. Then they tell you the clue they found.
If they get stuck, say the four words together: Stop. Look. Change. Try! A wrong try still counts. It gave them a clue.
How to watch
The show lives on our YouTube channel, GOACTO Kids. Episode 1 goes up on Saturday, November 7.
